“The troubling of my life began…” W.B. Yeats, on his first encounter with Maud Gonne

Yeats repeatedly wrote to the Irish activist, beginning each letter with "My Dear Maud." He proposed marriage three times — all rejected. Gonne famously replied, "Poets should never marry. The world should thank me for not marrying you."

Dear Maud brings that same neighborhood charm home, drawing inspiration from Sligo, Ireland. We're a cocktail and food experience developed in New York City, built on organic and fresh ingredients, welcoming hospitality, and a lively atmosphere.
